The Rain Waits

It's supposed to dump on us tonight. Yesterday they were saying it would start earlier, but it's holding off.

I ran the long zoo to Edworthy loop again. I really like the distance and the duration. It takes about two and a half hours and I always see lots of people. They've opened the gate to the path below Spruce Cliff now, too, so no more cutting through the bush or through the hole in the fence.

Kind of a cool moment just as I was coming up to the 9th Avenue bridge over the Elbow, right where it joins the Bow. Four pairs of adult Canada geese, with 51 little ones. I think. They're hard to count when they're running all over the place. They ranged from small and fluffy yellow, to not so small and not so fluffy browny-grey. Of course, it's back to agility training, too. (And people complain about the dog poo...)

Today's run:
Distance: 22.58km. Time: 2:05:18. Average speed: 10.8 kph.
Rest distance: 1.36 km. Rest time: 13:00.
Total distance: 23.95 km. Total time: 2:18:18.

Shoes: Saucony Grid Phoenix (Yellow) B.

Weather: Cloudy and 14C at the start, cloudy and 17C at the end.

The Calgary Marathon is in 41 days.
